Kids SummerTime Tincture

A gentle herbal blend for hayfever, itchy eyes and summertime sniffles

Regular price £1899

This tincture is designed to bring relief to children who struggle with hayfever symptoms such as runny noses, watery eyes, sneezing, throat irritation and general sensitivity to pollen.

It is different from our Adult Summertime as the herbs are milder and better tolerated by children. The tincture is taken internally in a little water or juice to help to calm itchy, irritated eyes. The systemic effect can reduce inflammation around the sinuses and ease breathing.

Ingredients Detailed

Eyebright helps calm itchy, irritated eyes and reduces streaming and inflammation around the sinuses.

Mullein Leaf supports the respiratory tract, easing irritation and helping little ones breathe more comfortably.

Elderflower has a naturally cooling, antihistamine-like effect that helps quieten the body’s response to pollen.

Plantain provides gentle support for sore, inflamed mucous membranes.

Chamomile helps reduce irritation and brings a sense of calm to children who feel unsettled by their symptoms.

Fennel helps ease sneezing spasms, settle the sinuses and improve the flavour.

Additional

Children’s herbal tinctures are gentle liquid herbal
extracts that have been prepared using a small amount of alcohol. The alcohol
helps to draw out the important plant constituents that create the therapeutic
effect, such as the aromatic oils, resins, alkaloids and flavonoids. Once
diluted in water, milk or juice, the alcohol content becomes extremely low,
usually less than the alcohol naturally found in ripe fruit or everyday foods,
and is considered safe for children at these doses. Each tincture can be mixed
into milk, water or juice. If your child prefers a little extra sweetness, you
can add a touch of honey, agave syrup or sugar, or simply place a small dab of
honey on the back of the hand for them to lick after sipping their herbal
mixture. Honey should only be used for children over 1 year of age.
